Plastics Caps and Closures 2016

New venue, new logo, new dates, new branding, new speakers, new content…

‘The caps and closures industry needs to talk the same language as its customers.’

That was the message from Paul Earnshaw of retail giant Tesco at the Caps & Closures 2015 conference.

It is also the basis for the 2016 event which will bring together caps producers with brand owners, providing them with a forum for dialogue that helps build a lasting relationship between supplier and customer.

The global caps and closures market is worth around $50bn per year, so there is a lot at stake for the industry. Getting it right means many things: quality, speed, excellent service and, increasingly, innovation.

‘We want innovation but we also want caps to be cheaper’, said David Rose from drinks brand Britvic at the 2015 event. How can the industry meet these twin challenges?

The 2016 conference will look at the latest innovations in caps, dispensers, dosing closures as the market demands more and more functionality. But it will also explore how innovation in manufacturing and materials can deliver the cost and sustainability goals of the brand owners.
