Oreo launches new biscuit with help from UK consumers

Following a consumer consultation in the UK, Mondelēz International-owned brand Oreo has revealed it will be investing £2.5 million in the launch of a new Choc’O Brownie product this summer.

In October 2016, the brand asked UK consumers to help it decide on the next addition to the biscuit range. Some 43% of people voted for an Oreo biscuit featuring a chocolate, brownie batter centre.

Helen Potter, senior brand manager for Oreo at Mondelēz International, says, “We’re delighted to reveal that the public chose brownie batter to be the next addition to our flavours range.

“The popularity of the public vote highlights how passionate our consumers are about Oreo cookies and we hope this launch will drive excitement in-store in turn helping retailers drive sweet biscuit sales.
