Nairn’s Oatcakes expands gluten-free range

Nairn’s has expanded its gluten-free range with the addition of Nairn’s Gluten Free Chunky Biscuit Breaks.

The Biscuit Break range now includes two new lines: Oats, Dark Chocolate & Coconut; and Oats, Blueberry & Raspberry. According to the brand, these two new additions contain at least 35% less sugar than the average gluten-free sweet biscuit.

The products are also made with gluten-free oats, making them ideal for those who suffer from coeliac disease or choose to follow a gluten-free or vegetarian lifestyle.

Paddy Cronin, sales director at Nairn’s Oatcakes, says, “The Biscuit Break range has become one of our key gluten-free lines and as consumers look for new and different products from established, trusted brands we have created a chunky Biscuit Break as something a little bit different to the core range.

“They are lighter and more crumbly and have lots of flavour with more visible inclusions that add to both taste and texture – perfect for those looking to have something a little chunkier to have with a hot drink.

Nairn’s Gluten Free Chunky Biscuit Breaks are available now (RRP £1.79) in the free from aisle in Sainsbury’s and in selected health wholesalers and independents. They contain approximately 64kcal per biscuit.

The products will be available to purchase from Waitrose and Asda from mid-October.
