In control

What better way to spend a sunny day in June than in popular seaside spot Brighton, UK? Luckily for me, Brighton was the destination for the launch of West Control Solutions’ latest temperature controller, the Maxvu.

Along with a raft of intuitive features, the new controller, which is available in two formats – 1/16 DIN and 1/8 DIN – promises two key benefits: improved display visibility and fast configuration.

In keeping with customer demand, the controller has been designed to maximise the display area, with figures still clearly visible from a distance. As a result, the 1/16 DIN version (48x48mm) boasts the largest display digits of any controller that size, with the upper level figures standing 18mm high and the lower level ones at 10.2mm. On the larger model (96x48mm), both sets of figures are 18mm.

Customer feedback also revealed desire for simplified setup, saving installation time. The Maxvu doesn’t disappoint – it has been designed for ease of use with a basic set up menu accessed from the front keypad, with set up taking less than 60 seconds for many applications. And if that sounds too good to be true, you can see the proof of the pudding here: www.west-cs.co.uk/resources-uk/video-guides-uk/how-to-set-up-the-maxvu-controller-in-60-seconds-en-GB/.

Ideal for the likes of chocolate tempering and microbrewing applications, as well as bonding for bag and tray sealers, the new temperature controller is sure to be a hit in the food industry.
