Busy, busy, busy

Date: 16/09/2010

Been out and about a bit these last few days, hence the lack of blogging activity. But am back now (albeit briefly) before heading off again tomorrow. So I’ve dusted off my keyboard to give you a brief update of my activities.
Last Friday, I was at Great Ormond Street (not the hospital but a small coffee bar opposite) to meet the inventor of a revolutionary new product. So convinced is he of his creation’s place in the market, he’s moved over to London from his native Australia (dragging his girlfriend with him) to sell it to the UK market. Hopefully, you’re now suitably intrigued – in which case, you’ll have to read October’s issue of Food & Drink Technology to find out exactly what it is.
So far this week, I’ve been out and about with IFST chief executive Jon Poole and managed to haul him off the wagon (he’s been off the booze in preparation for his son’s forthcoming wedding) and have also been on a guided tour of Munton’s new Centre of Excellence in Stowmarket and its factory facilities. More of that in next month’s issue too. Ratty, it’s your turn tomorrow…
There truly is never a dull moment.
