Celebrating success

Date: 26/09/2011

I was hugely honoured to be at the European HQ of LycoRed this week in the presence of those responsible for an amazing business achievement. And it’s an achievement made all the more remarkable against a background of recession and economic turmoil still affecting many of those in the industry.

The accolade bestowed upon the functional ingredient firm? The Queen’s Award for International Trade, presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Kent (pictured). That means its export market is thriving and so, too, is LycoRed – so much so, that it recently opened an impressive new facility in China.

What wonderful news amid what feels like a financial fog of gloom that shows no sign of shifting.

‘Creating innovative nutrition’ is LycoRed’s promise. And for its thousands of satisfied customers, it’s clearly one that’s never broken.
