Enjoying the ex-factor

Had a brief encounter this week with a man who confided that, during his working life, he had been head of IT for a major credit card company and headteacher at a school for children with special needs.

He then decided to spend two years backpacking alone, and it was while traversing the globe that he discovered the inspiration for his latest business venture. That is, salt-free sauces and marinades. He was proudly displaying the resultant culinary offerings at IFE this week, and I was most impressed.

Then, while reciting his impressive career history, he threw in the fact that he had three ex-wives – and was on good terms with them all.

That, surely, is the most remarkable achievement of all…
