LPR’s continued success leads to senior appointment

Following a string of recent wins, including Weetabix and Nestlé, La Palette Rouge (LPR), Europe’s second largest pallet pooling provider, has expanded its line-up with the appointment of Stephen Ambroziak as business contracts manager.

The role has been created by LPR, a division of Euro Pool Group, to help support the existing team and further boost its service offering. Ambroziak will focus on developing the company’s existing customer relationships and will look for new ways of maximising the support it offers to its current clients.

Over the past 30 years, Ambroziak has worked at a wide range of logistics service providers, including periods as head of group development at C Butt Ltd and business development manager at Potter Logistics, as well as DHL International and TNT.

Ambroziak says, “It’s a pleasure to be joining LPR at such an exciting time. My aim is to deliver optimum pallet solutions for our clients that make a real difference to their supply chain, and, ultimately the bottom line. Over the next quarter, I will be continuing to learn all about our clients, their business needs now and going forward, so that LPR is able to help them gain supply chain advantage over their competitors.”

Adrian Fleming, regional director, LPR UK, adds, “The past year has seen LPR achieve multiple account wins, accreditations and partnerships, which in turn has meant we have looked for additional support for our UK team. Ambroziak’s extensive experience in logistics will allow him to bring a host of fresh ideas and a wealth of 3PL knowledge to help strengthen LPR’s offering.”

The appointment comes as LPR restructures its sales and account management teams to maximise the services it provides to its client base.

In 2016, expansion saw the company partner with Goggins Transport to open two new depots in Dublin and Galway and make nine strategic new appointments at its headquarters in Studley, Warwickshire to boost its UK and Ireland performance. LPR now has 46 personnel in the UK and Ireland.

LPR delivered 70 million pallets across Europe in 2016, rising from 62 million in 2015. This is expected to grow further in 2017 due to a number of new contract wins with high profile blue chip FMCG manufacturers, including Nestlé and Kellogg’s.
