  • An anaerobic digestion (AD) facility has opened in Dagenham, London, UK. Operated by ReFood, part of the Saria Group, the site will act as a showcase of industry leading food waste recycling technology.
  • Horiba, an original equipment manufacturer of instruments and measurement systems, has launched the UP-100, a pH monitor which has uses in several applications and sectors including: bio reactors, food and drink processing, pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing and the semiconductor industry.
  • The organisers of packaging and processing trade show Interpack have set the dates for the 2020 event, which will take place from 7-13 May.
  • The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has recognised the work of the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) to reduce accidents in the food and drink industry.
  • Cold brew coffee is usually made by soaking ground roasted coffee beans for 10-14 hours at room temperature, resulting in up to 70% of the soluble solids remaining within the bean that is then discarded.
  • Tetra Pak has launched its next generation high shear inline mixer, promising unparalleled ingredient mixing performance and lower operating costs.
