(Editorial) reasons to be cheerful

Now that another year is upon us, it’s always good to reflect on the last 12 months and hopefully look to the future with a degree of optimism.

It’s now exactly six months since I slid my feet back under the Food & Drink Technology desk at Bell Towers. And I have to say, it feels as if I’ve never been away.

It’s a fascinating time to be at the helm and, as 2019 looms large, the prospect of us all skipping through the Brexit battlefield edges ever-closer. But as this is the first blog of the year, I promised myself that I’d only mention the B-word once.

And so, in other news, I think now is as good a time as any to remind you of the brand new editorial topics we’ll be covering in the magazine in 2019, from contaminants, vitamins and premixes, to additives, enzymes, and health and nutritional ingredients. Check out the full list here.
