Dina Foods celebrates Mother’s Day with high tea

Family business Dina Foods is encouraging customers to place orders now for baklawa, the delicious Mediterranean treat, for Mother’s Day on Sunday 14 March. Dina Foods is also causing a frenzy of interest across social media channels with a giveaway competition to celebrate.

Dina Foods says it is bringing exquisite new flavours to the traditional  and still highly popular British afternoon tea menu this year, offering high-quality Mediterranean flatbreads and sweet confectionery such as its signature baklawa for Mother’s Day, as well as mini cocktail pitta breads.

“Dina Foods bakes its mini artisan pitta breads in all different shapes and sizes for use in canapés and as finger food,” says assistant general manager Wilda Haddad.

For afternoon tea, Dina Foods suggests its cocktail-pittas might be filled with salmon and cream cheese as a traditional filling, or one of the company’s best-selling sweet potato falafels, thinly sliced on a bed of its own hummous or baba ganoush products, or one of the other savoury Mediterranean delights for which Dina Foods is renowned.

On the next tier up of the afternoon tea tray, Dina Foods says its baklawa, filo delights and other sweet finger foods will make sure that the afternoon tea ends on a high note.

“Sweet and crunchy baklawa, are traditionally offered to friends and family at times of celebration, such as Mother’s Day, and are becoming more and more popular with the afternoon tea market,” says Haddad.

Dina Foods prides itself in being the leading supplier of baklawa in the UK, and on never having compromised on the quality of its celebratory sweet treats. Dina’s handmade baklawa is created with layers of filo pastry, sandwiched with crushed nuts, ghee and sugar syrup. They come in any number of innovative varieties, for example enrobed in chocolate or layered with apricots, cranberries or mint. The pieces come in different sizes, from cocktail portions of 20g up to restaurant dessert portions of 120g.

“Place your orders now to ensure you satisfy consumer demand on Mother’s Day,” adds Haddad. “Our teatime products are made with the finest ingredients and we are looking forward to giving the lucky winner a treat when we reward them via social media.”

In addition to its afternoon tea for Mother’s Day, Dina Foods is also giving customers the chance of winning a hamper of Dina Foods products for their mother or mother figure and themselves. To be in with a chance, customers must:
