Graphic Packaging boosts food sector capabilities in Poland

Graphic Packaging International has made a major investment in its Poznań, Poland facility, reinforcing its role as a leading European hub for high-efficiency food packaging.
With six new state-of-the-art equipment installations, the site is now primed to meet the evolving demands of food manufacturers and private label brands seeking scalable, sustainable, and cost-optimised packaging solutions.
While the Poznań plant serves both beauty and food sectors, the latest upgrades significantly enhance its ability to support the food industry’s need for speed, flexibility, and resilience.
As consumer preferences shift and economic pressures mount, food brands are under increasing pressure to deliver high-quality products with minimal waste and maximum shelf impact. Graphic Packaging’s investment directly addresses these needs through automation, robotics, and process optimisation.
The facility now features high-performance printing presses and advanced packaging lines designed for high-volume output and reduced environmental footprint. These enhancements enable faster turnaround times, improved consistency, and greater adaptability across formats — from ready meal cartons and snack sleeves to chilled food trays and ambient shelf packaging.
Ellie Patterson, VP sales for food, wellness, and flexibles – International, emphasised the strategic importance of the upgrade: “These are not just investments, they’re a statement of intent. We’ve built this facility into one that doesn’t just keep pace with demand, it leads. Whether it’s a high-volume carton for food or a tailored solution for private label, we’re setting our customers up with exactly what they need to win in their markets.”
The Poznań site also supports Graphic Packaging’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to position the company as the global leader in sustainable consumer packaging. By combining operational efficiency with environmental responsibility, the facility offers food manufacturers a competitive edge in a market increasingly defined by traceability, recyclability, and performance.
