Pork Farms raises the bar in plant-based with revamped Porkless Pies

Pork Farms, the UK’s leading pork pie brand, is relaunching its Porkless Pies this November with a bold new recipe and refreshed packaging.
Originally launched in 2020, Porkless Pies quickly claimed the top spot in the plant-based pork pie segment, winning over flexitarians and meat-free shoppers with their familiar flavour and format. Now, in response to rising consumer expectations, Pork Farms has reformulated the recipe to deliver its most authentic and indulgent plant-based pie yet.
The new filling features plant-based bacon for a deeper, more “porky” taste, vegetable suet for added richness, and giant couscous to mimic the moist, crumbly texture of traditional pork pies. A touch of sage rounds out the seasoning, bringing the flavour profile even closer to the original.
Available in 2-pack (£1.40 RRP, 130g) and 4-pack (£3.35 RRP, 260g) formats, the upgraded Porkless Pies will be stocked nationwide in Asda and Tesco.
The relaunch reinforces Pork Farms’ category leadership and its positioning as the only true meat-style alternative in the pork pie aisle — offering a compelling option for flexitarian and plant-based consumers seeking familiar formats.
Packaging has also been elevated to match the product’s quality, featuring a bold green backdrop for standout shelf presence and premium gold detailing to signal taste credentials and alignment with the core Pork Farms range.
Jason Manley, brand director at The Compleat Food Group, commented: “We’re proud of what Porkless Pies have achieved since launch, but we know the plant-based space moves fast. By drawing on insights from across our portfolio, we’ve fine-tuned every element — from flavour to format — to deliver a pie that truly satisfies.”
The relaunch will be supported by a targeted campaign spanning PR, digital, and in-store activation to drive trial and re-engage loyal shoppers.
