Melters now stocked

Habwood is now marketing melters from Tecno3. There are two types available: static and continuous.
The static version is ideal where production rates of up to one tonne are required. Fat or butter is placed either by hand or by mechanical lift onto a heated grid. As the fat melts, it drops into a tank or receiving vessel where it can be pumped or physically lifted to the mixing area.
The continuous – as its name suggests – is ideal where a continuous stream of melted butter or fat is required. Instead of the grid used by the static melter, the continuous version uses two heated augers as a melting method. The solid blocks of butter or fat are fed continuously and, once melted, pumped to a mixing facility. The continuous version can handle in excess of two tonnes per hour.
The continuous version has the advantage of a programmable temperature control, making it more energy efficient.
