Selig is to use Interpack 2020 as the platform to exhibit its GlassFuze technology, as well as its other leading sealing solutions this year.

GlassFuze is already award-winning for its approach to creating a fully hermetic seal to glass. The solution enables even products containing a high fat or oil content, liquids and volative compound oil spices to be sealed effectively. As well as being able to withstand substances, which have the ability to penetrate and degrade conventional sealing methods, GlassFuze also creates a barrier to oxygen and moisture, increasing product shelf-life still further.

On stand will be examples of GlassFuze used in conjunction with Selig’s Uni-Gard one piece induction seals, the company’s Deltaseal two piece liners and Selig’s easy-to-open Lift ‘n’ Peel range of induction seals. There will also be a range of applications demonstrated including peanut butters, spices and other oily foods and edible and non-edible liquids.

Visitors to the stand will be also be able to see Selig’s new Lift ‘n’ Peel TamperSeal, which is ideal for the hermetic sealing of medicine containers. The newly developed Lift ‘n’ Peel™ TamperSeal liner for HDPE containers is the first seal that ensures tamper evidence and hermetic sealing, while also being easy-to-open due to the ½ moon tab. When removed from a container, TamperSeal leaves a foil residue on the land area as evidence of the package having been opened.

Darren Dodd at Selig said: “With more than two years of research, we’re proud to be demonstrating the capabilities of GlassFuze to the brand owners that Interpack brings together. We will also be using Interpack to showcase our easy-to-open Lift ‘n’ Peel TamperSeal, as well as the work we are doing in making our products more sustainable; making them easier to recycle, helping to promote lightweighting and using recycled materials in our products wherever possible.”

Interpack 2020 takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany between the 7th – 13th May 2019. Visitors can find Selig at Hall 7, Level 1, Stand B06 where more information and samples of the above products will be available.
