Asda sales cheer

Supermarket chain Asda has announced a 6% increase in sales for the full-year.

The UK arm of Wal-Mart says the growth was driven mainly by an increase in customer numbers but also a higher average spend. Sales for the fourth quarter to 9 January increased 4.6%, beating targets for the year and quarter, says the retailer.
