Colorcon unveils all‑in‑one moisture‑protective closure

Colorcon has expanded its controlled‑atmosphere packaging portfolio with the launch of OneLock, a new all‑in‑one closure system designed to streamline nutraceutical packaging while delivering consistent moisture protection for sensitive solid‑dose products.

The closure integrates a desiccant directly into the cap, removing the need for separate sachets or canisters and reducing the risk of missing or loose desiccants during filling. By combining multiple components into a single unit, OneLock is engineered to simplify production, cut packaging complexity and support more efficient line operations for manufacturers.

Colorcon says the system provides reliable moisture control throughout a product’s lifecycle, helping maintain stability, shelf life and efficacy — a critical requirement for nutraceutical formats such as tablets, capsules and functional supplements that are increasingly sensitive to humidity.

Designed for compatibility with a range of SP 400 bottles, OneLock can be adopted with minimal disruption to existing filling lines. The closure also incorporates a tamper‑evident disk and a child‑resistant push‑and‑turn mechanism, balancing performance with patient safety.
