Norwich engineering specialist Korutek Engineering has marked a major step forward in its expansion programme, celebrating the topping‑out of its new warehouse and engineering facility — a development set to significantly increase the company’s capacity to support food manufacturers across the UK and international markets.

The ceremony, which signifies completion of the building’s highest structural point, underscores Korutek’s long‑term investment in infrastructure, innovation and customer service.

The expanded site will enhance operational efficiency, enable faster response times and create room for future growth as demand for specialist engineering services continues to rise within the food manufacturing sector.

Korutek provides industrial freezing solutions, technical support and equipment services that help production facilities operate safely, reliably and efficiently. The new facility strengthens this offer by creating additional space for engineering operations, equipment servicing and project delivery — improvements expected to benefit both domestic and overseas customers.

The development also represents a boost for the local economy, supporting skilled engineering roles and reinforcing Norwich’s position as a growing hub for advanced manufacturing and technical expertise.

Rahim Ali, managing director at Korutek Engineering, said the milestone reflects both momentum and ambition: “Reaching the topping‑out stage is a significant moment for everyone involved in this project. It reflects the growth we have achieved as a business and our confidence in the future. This investment will allow us to better support our customers, expand our engineering capabilities and create a stronger platform for long‑term growth.”

Engineering director Gerard Bird highlighted the operational impact: “The new facility will significantly enhance our capabilities and provide the space we need to continue supporting our customers’ evolving requirements. We are excited to see the project move into its next phase.”

The building contractor added that the milestone demonstrates strong collaboration across the project team and will deliver a modern, high‑quality asset that supports Korutek’s continued growth.

Construction now moves into the next phase ahead of completion and occupation.
