Flow wrapper reduces cost of fudge packing
Due to growing demand for its products, Radfords Fine Fudge has invested in new equipment from Tisomi Packaging Machinery.
The family artisan manufacturing company, which specialises in traditional fudge and other confectionery products, reported improved presentation and a more than five per cent reduction in costs after installing Tisomi’s Minflow400 flow wrapper to replace the manual process of weighing and sealing individual bags of its delicious fudge.
The Minflow400 is individually flow wrapping single cubes of fudge packed in printed film so that each piece of the confectionery can carry the brand message of Radfords’ own products or in private label.
The machine’s capability for boosting productivity through swift changeovers from one product shape to another was one of the other features which impressed the manufacturer.
