Lizi’s launches new super muesli range

Premium cereal brand, Lizi’s, is extending its healthier breakfast options by branching out into the muesli category. The brand is the first to market with its Super Muesli range.

The Super Muesli, which has four variants, uses a mixture of toasted and untoasted oats, which comes with fortified functional benefits. The range includes Vitamin C, B6, B2 and Zinc, as well as healthy natural ingredients such as turmeric, barley, hemp, maca powder and quinoa, to help ensure a wide array of benefits as well as maintaining Lizi’s popular taste and crunch.

Lizi’s Super Muesli comes in the following new variants:

BOOST – Mango, Papaya & Turmeric: A tropical taste of mango, papaya, carrot and coconut. Toasted oats are combined with turmeric and seeds. Vitamin C and Vitamin B6 help boost the immune system and fight fatigue.

CLEANSE – Cranberry, Raspberry & Cherry: A unique mix of fruity berries, seeds, toasted oats and barley flakes. Vitamin C and zinc help to neutralize excess free radicals and protect cells.

FOCUS – Hazelnut, Pecan & Maca: Trio of hazelnuts, almonds, and pecans, combined with toasted oats, hemp, maca powder and pomegranate seeds.  Includes vitamin B6 and zinc to enhance focus.

GLOW – Fig, Apple & Almond: Red apple, figs and golden raisins serve up a delicious flavour. Almonds, linseeds, toasted oats and quinoa provide the crunch. Vitamin B2 and selenium help fight signs of tiredness and keeps hair and nails healthy.

Alice Bream, brand manager at Lizi’s commented: “Our research has shown us that 25-35 year old’s have the highest consumption of muesli, eating the cereal at ‘least weekly’. We also know that this is the age group that is looking for innovation and expect to be wowed.

“The muesli category has seen some innovation in terms of flavour introductions, however our research shows the consumer is looking for more unique products which offer added health benefits, this could be one of the reasons why the category is in decline at -3.5% YoY. When you compare this to the granola category, which has seen a plethora of innovation, there is strong growth +8% YoY, in comparison.

“The launch of Lizi’s Super Muesli is a first to fixture, with its unique fortified functional benefits and of course being dust free like our granola. Our aim is to grow the category whilst attracting more shoppers to the fixture.”

Lizi’s Boost, Focus and Glow Super Muesli will be available in Waitrose from March 2020. RRP £4.00 for 400g pack.
