Rich’s unveils ‘just like dairy’ cream alternatives

Rich Products has launched new liquid dairy-free cream alternatives for the food manufacturing, beverage and catering sectors, that are ‘just like diary’ in terms of taste and performance.

Rich’s two new plant-based crèmes are placed to help development chefs, beverage innovators and foodservice companies cater to the UK public’s increasingly insatiable appetite for plant-based food and drink.

Plant Based Cooking Crème is an all-in-one solution for sweet and savoury hot applications. With a smooth texture and pleasant creamy flavour, it is a dairy cream alternative for all cooking and pouring requirements. Plant Based Whipping Crème offers a variety of ways to add value to desserts, cakes and beverages. It is the only dairy alternative with whipped performance and stability superior to fresh cream, according to Rich’s.

Both creams are 100% vegan and allergen-free, able to be used in a huge range of recipes, from desserts, soups, sauces and ready meals to hot and cold beverages. They also boast a range of health benefits such as zero trans-fat or cholesterol, 89% less saturated fat and 12% fewer calories than their dairy alternatives.

Rich’s marketing director John Want said: “We’re delighted to bring these pioneering plant-based creams to market, offering food manufacturers, development chefs, caterers and coffee shops a genuinely healthy, tasty and plant-based alternative to dairy creams.

“With half of UK adults (49%) choosing to avoid certain foods or ingredients and 39% regularly buying free-from food and drink, it is vital to have dairy alternatives that perform in terms of taste and consumer experience. Ours are the only plant-based cream alternatives that perform and taste just like dairy with no bean, grain or nut backnotes.”
