Corvaglia is providing a fully modular portfolio concentrating on efficiency, design variation, and regulatory compliance for the GME 30.40 neck finish,

The expanded development portfolio, which is based on a tried-and-true mould system, allows for custom closures for a variety of applications, from traditional to tethered versions, all of which completely comply with EU Directive 2019/904 standards.

corvaglia’s modular mould system was developed in the early years of the company under the leadership of Romeo Corvaglia. The concept is based on clusters of four cavities each, which make it possible to configure moulds with different numbers of clusters – such as 96 or 128 cavities – flexibly and efficiently.

Conversion between tethered and non-tethered solutions is made by replacing a few components – specifically only the slides – which enables rapid adaptation to new requirements.

The mould system can be used for all commercially available, standardised neck finishes and is future-proofed, the company said.

The corvaglia portfolio for GME 30.40 is divided into three main categories, distinguished by the design of the tamper-evidence band:

• Classic, injected tamper-evidence band (‘Interference Band’)
• Injected tamper-evidence band with flaps (‘Adaptive Flex-Band’)
• Slitted tamper-evidence band with flaps (‘Slitted & Folded Band’)

Both tethered and non-tethered variants are available for each of these categories. All tethered designs are compliant with EU Directive 2019/904 and are therefore future proof with regard to legal requirements.

In addition, there are three different outer shell designs to choose from to meet different ergonomic and aesthetic preferences depending on the market region and customer needs.

The free combination of these options results in 18 different design combinations that can be tailored exactly to individual market requirements.
