GIC8000

The 2026 models of GIC’s GIC5100 and GIC8000 will be on display at booth C50 at the NEC in Birmingham in September.

A hinged maintenance panel on the new GIC8000 makes it simple to service the machine’s internal motors and mechanism.

The GIC8000 is a high-speed continuous motion servo machine best suited to high-speed pillow packs, including snacks and confectionery, pulses, plus fresh and frozen foods.

The GIC8000 can produce finished pack widths up to 400mm and incorporates robust, proven mechanical design with the latest Rockwell Allen Bradley maintenance-free servo technology to ensure industry-leading reliability and low cost of ownership.

The Gainsborough-based UK company will also feature a GIC5100 intermittent VFFS machine on its stand. The GIC5100 is particularly popular with aggregate producers, including Kelkay and Aggregates R Us, with both companies impressed with the machine’s efficiency, build quality and reliability.

“The PPMA Show is a very important event and we always enjoy exhibiting,” says Andy Beal, GIC’s managing director. “At GIC, we are always looking to add value to our customers’ operations and know how important service and maintenance are to them, and at the same time, they want minimal downtime. That’s why we’ve incorporated the hinged maintenance panel on the side of the GIC8000, as it will make accessing the machine’s components both quick and easy.

“As you would expect from a company that has been trading in the fresh produce sector for over 40 years, we’re very well known in the food industry, but not everyone knows that our machines can be relied upon in other industries, such as pet foods, powders and aggregates. That’s why we’ve decided to take a GIC5100 to the NEC in September. It’s an incredibly robust machine and has proved popular with some of the UK’s leading aggregates companies. We’re confident its presence on our stand will attract some new people to us during the show.”
