Some of the biggest names in the label and packaging industry have teamed up for a special project ahead of Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona. Together, they are producing eye-catching crisp bags and small chocolate pouches on Nilpeter’s FA-17 using the very latest flexo technology.

The design, inspired by Barcelona and Spanish culture, is a true team effort, with creative input from all partners involved. The goal? To show what flexo can really do and just how far the technology has come.

This collaborative concept was originally pioneered by Synthogra, Nilpeter, GEW, and Flint Group, who came together more than a decade ago to demonstrate the power of partnership in pushing flexo printing forward. Since then, the initiative has grown, with more partners joining to make it an even stronger platform for innovation, and today, this approach is more relevant than ever across the industry.

Nanette Thomas, CEO of Synthogra, adds: “When we started this journey with Nilpeter, GEW, and Flint Group, the idea was simple – to create something tangible that could showcase the very best of flexo printing and inspire others in the industry. Back then, it was a bold move to bring competitors and suppliers together in this way, but it worked. It created a ripple effect that we see much more of in the industry today. I’m proud to see how far this collaboration has come, and to welcome the many new partners who have joined along the way.”

Martin Teilberg, global marketing manager at Nilpeter, says: “Flexo has huge potential, and this project is the perfect way to show its versatility and quality. Just as important, it’s a chance to bring so many of our partners together, something we’ve now been doing for 12 years. We’re proud of the results and can’t wait to show off the finished crisp bags and mint chocolate pouches… and, of course, taste them too.”
