Cointreau enters premium RTD market

Maison Cointreau is elevating the ready-to-drink (RTD) category, leveraging its cocktail mastery to introduce Cointreau Cocktail Twists, a new line of bar-quality, canned Margaritas designed for convenience.

Recognising the consumer desire for effortless, high-quality cocktails, Cointreau’s new “Cocktail Twists” allow both trade and consumers to enjoy a perfectly balanced, 12.5% ABV Margarita anywhere, anytime. The range is crafted with premium Tequila, Cointreau L’Unique orange liqueur, and carefully selected ingredients, ensuring they are free from artificial colours or flavours.

The initial launch features two bold new recipes in a sleek, 125 ml can format:

  1. The Original Margarita: a zesty blend capturing the quintessential taste of the classic cocktail, featuring Cointreau L’Unique, premium Tequila, lime peel distillate, and lime juice concentrate for bright, balanced citrus notes.
  2. The Passionfruit Margarita: a fragrant and tropical twist that combines Cointreau L’Unique and premium Tequila with lime juice and natural passionfruit flavour, delivering a complex profile worthy of a crafted cocktail bar.

“Our ready-to-drink cocktail range, now enhanced with new flavours on our classic Margarita and available in a can, is a premium expression of this consumption habit,” said Clémence Gallet, Cointreau Eexecutive director. “It is designed to invite cocktail lovers to savour Cointreau on any cocktail occasion, in an elevated and convenient way.”

The new line is positioned as the ideal solution for consumers heading to a party, relaxing in the park, or seeking a no-effort, high-quality drink. In line with the Maison’s sustainability commitments, the Cointreau Cocktail Twists are packaged in 100% recyclable materials.
