Florette drops world’s first ‘salad in a face cream’

If you’ve ever looked at a perfectly crisp bag of lettuce and thought, “I wish my skin felt that refreshed,” today is your lucky day.
Leading UK salad brand Florette has officially announced a bizarrely crunchy pivot into the beauty industry with the launch of HydroLeaf Miracle Moisturise — the world’s first face cream inspired by the hydrating power of a leafy green salad.
Marketed with the punchy tagline “Farm to Face,” the new skincare line promises to deliver what the company calls “Clinically Fresh Hydration” straight from the salad bowl to your vanity.
The secret sauce? Frisée
The moisturiser is powered by a potent blend of Hyaluronic Acid and Florette’s proprietary Frisée Leaf Antioxidant Complex. The company claims the cream mimics the exact environmental conditions used to keep their bagged salads at peak crunchiness.
“Our customers are always asking us how we keep our leaves so unbelievably crisp,” says Sophie Taylor, Florette’s Lead Botanical Dermatologist. “It suddenly dawned on us: why shouldn’t your face get the exact same world-class hydration as our leaves?”
According to Taylor, the cream works by managing the skin’s “micro-climate” just as the company’s farmers manage the soil and temperature for their crops. “By isolating the cellular bounce of a highly versatile mix of mild and crispy seasonal leaves, we’ve created a moisturiser that locks in 24-hour, fridge-fresh firmness,” Taylor added. “Consider it the ultimate daily dressing for a perfectly crisp look: washed and ready to glow.”
Check the chilled aisle
In a move that is sure to confuse shoppers in the supermarket, Florette has confirmed that HydroLeaf will not be sold near the cleansers and serums. To “guarantee maximum leafy freshness,” the product will be stocked exclusively in the chilled produce aisle, tucked away right next to the Classic Crispy and Mixed Salad bags.
Priced at an accessible £1.99, the cream is officially available nationwide starting tomorrow, April 1st.
Whether this marks the future of “botanical” beauty or remains the freshest prank of the year, one thing is certain: your skincare routine is about to get a whole lot greener. Just be sure to check the “use-by” date before applying — you wouldn’t want your face to wilt before the weekend.
