Interfood Technology has announced the UK and Irish availability of Weber’s new weSLICE 2000 and 2500 industrial slicers.

Designed to deliver high-precision slicing without requiring the massive footprint of a full-scale automated slicing line, these compact units offer food manufacturers a flexible, high-performance bridge between manual operations and high-capacity industrial production.

The primary technological advantage of the line lies in its dual-model design, tailored to specific product geometries and processing needs.

The Weber weSLICE 2000 is engineered as a circular blade slicer capable of cutting widths up to 330mm utilising durable Weber Durablade technology. In contrast, the weSLICE 2500 utilises an involute blade system that achieves a cutting height of up to 180mm, making it ideal for processing tall, natural artisan meats and cheeses.

Both models feature an oversized cutting throat that supports multi-track processing, allowing facilities handling varied pack formats or small batch sizes to significantly maximise output relative to their machine footprint.

For food processors, this technology translates directly into improved yield control, operational efficiency, and line flexibility. Optional integrated features such as an automatic checkweigher provide continuous weight control feedback to minimise giveaway, while an automatic end piece ejection system reduces reloading cycle times. Furthermore, the slicers can be supplied with an integrated portioning unit for wider automated packaging lines or paired with a universal portioning and discharge conveyor for standalone production environments.

Hygienic safety and maintenance downtime are also key focus areas. The machines feature Weber’s open blade head design, which grants washdown teams unobstructed access for quick and thorough cleaning in alignment with modern food safety standards.

Built on mobile chassis with low-maintenance components, these slicers can be easily repositioned across different plant production lines as demand shifts, backed by local UK and Irish technical support and spare parts availability.
