Two UK thermoformers celebrate top‑tier BRCGS certifications

Two of the UK’s leading thermoformed packaging manufacturers have reinforced their quality and compliance credentials, with Macpac securing the highest possible BRCGS AA+ grade and Kingsmoor Packaging once again achieving a consecutive AA rating.
Macpac earned its AA+ accreditation following an unannounced audit with no non‑conformances, a milestone the company says reflects its operational discipline and commitment to recyclable packaging.
Managing director Graham Kershaw said: “Achieving AA+ accreditation via an unannounced audit, with no non-conformances raised, is a strong endorsement of the standards our team delivers every day.” He added that the certification gives customers “further confidence that every thermoformed packaging solution leaving our Stockport manufacturing facility is produced to the highest standards of quality, safety and performance.”
Somerset‑based Kingsmoor Packaging has also maintained its AA grade under Issue 7 of the BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard — marking more than a decade of consistent top‑tier performance.
Managing director James Hill said: “Achieving a consecutive AA grade consistently over 10 years provides our customers… with reassurance of our commitment to producing safe, quality and legally compliant thermoformed packaging products.” He described the achievement as “a credit to the hard work and resolve of our employees.”
Both certifications streamline supplier approval for food manufacturers and demonstrate rigorous adherence to HACCP, hygiene, safety and quality requirements — strengthening the UK thermoforming sector’s reputation for dependable, compliant and increasingly sustainable packaging production.
