Food and drink companies across England are being urged to enter the Energy Saving Trust’s 2012 Fleet Hero Awards before the 17 August deadline.

The awards celebrate public and private organisations that are successfully reducing fuel bills and lowering carbon footprints through better transport policies and improved fleet efficiency. They also recognise companies that supply cost and fuel saving products or services to fleets.

Now in its seventh year, the Fleet Hero Awards is open to any organisation with fleets of 20 or more vehicles in England.

“The deadline is fast approaching but there is still time for food and drink companies to enter this year’s awards,” says Philip Sellwood, chief executive of the Energy Saving Trust. “We are keen to hear from food and drink firms across England that deserve recognition for contributing towards the reduction of harmful emissions from UK roads.”
