Magnum’s new Twister sets sights on Gen Z

The Magnum Ice Cream Company has unveiled its latest innovation for the 2026 season: Twister Frrreeze.
The launch marks a significant technical milestone for the newly independent business, introducing a long-lasting cooling sensation designed to linger even after the lolly has been finished.
The product features a vibrant triple-swirl of peach, icy raspberry-apple, and zesty orange. While it retains the iconic Twister shape, the internal architecture leverages new R&D cooling technology tailored specifically to meet the multi-sensorial demands of Gen Z consumers.
At just 66 calories per stick, Twister Frrreeze aligns with the Group’s broader strategy of providing permissible treats that satisfy health-conscious parents and calorie-counting adults alike. This follows a major 2025-2026 recipe refresh across the core Twister range, which introduced milk to the swirl to improve texture and visual appeal while maintaining a low-calorie profile.
“Twister Frrreeze is a fun and fruity addition to the range,” said Olga Mert, brand manager at Wall’s Refreshment UK. “Designed to catch attention in the freezer aisle and spark excitement, it brings a fun, multi-sensory, ice-cold experience that is unlike anything else on the market.”
To drive consumer engagement, the launch is tied to a high-profile partnership with Disney. The collaboration celebrates the opening of the new World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris on March 29. From April through July, shoppers will have the chance to win a trip to the park via promotional packs, a move expected to drive significant footfall to the frozen aisle during the critical spring-summer transition.
The rollout is supported by the recently completed £50 million investment in the company’s Gloucester production hub. The site’s new high-speed lines and advanced blending systems are credited with enabling the complex, multi-layered “cooling” formula of the Frrreeze variant.
Twister Frrreeze is available now across grocery and wholesale channels with an RRP of £2.75 for a multipack.
