Craemer brings forward CanPal Pallet system

Craemer is set to introduce its new CanPal German pallet at Interpack 2026, bringing a major step forward in durable logistics solutions for the beverage metal packaging sector.
Designed specifically for the canning industry’s unique handling, stacking and transport requirements, the CanPal delivers a level of robustness and reliability that surpasses conventional multi‑piece pallets.
The CanPal German pallet is a 1250 × 1180 mm plastic pallet engineered for the safe, stable and sustainable movement of beverage cans. Made from high‑quality polypropylene (PP), the pallet weighs 22.5 kg, is 100% recyclable, and offers load capacities of 10,000 kg (static) and 1,250 kg (dynamic). Optional spacers, anti‑slip Palgrip clips, RFID transponders and custom hot‑stamped branding provide flexibility for different operational environments.
Beverage can manufacturers, fillers and logistics operators rely on precisely dimensioned, high‑performance pallets that integrate seamlessly with conveyor systems, automated lines and export requirements. As the beverage can market expands — driven by sustainability, recyclability and global demand — the need for durable, long‑life load carriers has intensified. Traditional multi‑piece pallets often fail under impact or heavy use, creating cost, safety and downtime risks.
At the heart of the CanPal is Craemer’s patented manufacturing process, which inseparably connects the upper deck and runners. This creates a multi‑part pallet that performs with the stability of a one‑piece design. The pallet blocks retain their shape and function even under high loads, collisions or deformation, delivering:
- Significantly increased break resistance
- Longer service life under intensive use
- Greater cost‑effectiveness and sustainability
- Enhanced stability for strapping, stacking and automated handling
Finite Element Modelling (FEM) was used to optimise the geometry of the runners and deck, ensuring the pallet achieves the ideal balance of rigidity, durability and functional performance.
The CanPal German pallet will debut at Interpack 2026 (7–13 May, Düsseldorf), giving Craemer a global platform to engage beverage producers, packaging specialists and logistics buyers. The pallet is available in light grey as standard, with other colours on request, and can be configured with optional RFID inlays for track‑and‑trace integration.
With more than 70 years of plastics expertise and a heritage in metal forming and toolmaking, Craemer continues to position itself as a leader in durable, high‑performance logistics solutions. The CanPal strengthens its portfolio of industry‑specific pallets and demonstrates the company’s commitment to engineering innovation, precision manufacturing and long‑term sustainability.
The CanPal represents a step change in pallet durability for beverage metal packaging. By overcoming the traditional weaknesses of multi‑piece pallets, Craemer provides manufacturers and fillers with a more reliable, longer‑lasting and cost‑efficient load carrier — one that supports automation, reduces breakage‑related downtime and enhances sustainability across the supply chain.
