Bold Indian ice creams hit London

Haldiram’s is dialling up London’s dessert scene with a new range of six ice creams inspired by India’s most iconic sweets and drinks, now available at its Leicester Square flagship.
As consumers look beyond classic flavours, the brand’s latest launch introduces a set of bold, globally influenced scoops designed to showcase Indian dessert culture in a fresh, contemporary way.
Six flavour debut
Created exclusively for the Leicester Square restaurant, the line‑up includes:
- Royal Rose Falooda — a floral twist on the classic dessert drink
- Jamun Kala Khatta — a vegan sorbet inspired by nostalgic kala khatta
- Choco Mocha — chocolate meets coffee
- Milk Cake Crumble — with real milk cake pieces
- Saffron & Mango — Alphonso mango lifted with saffron
- Masala Chai — tea and warming spices in frozen form
Each scoop is priced at £4.50, bringing flavours rarely seen on UK ice cream menus into the heart of London.
Inspired by India’s favourite desserts and drinks
Early standouts include Jamun Kala Khatta, a vibrant vegan sorbet capturing the tangy, nostalgic flavour beloved across India, and Masala Chai, which transforms the country’s iconic spiced tea into a creamy frozen dessert.
Other flavours draw directly from traditional sweets and drinks:
- Milk Cake Crumble folds real milk cake pieces through the ice cream.
- Royal Rose Falooda channels the rose‑flavoured dessert drink.
- Saffron & Mango blends Alphonso mango with saffron for a rich, aromatic profile.
Developed exclusively for Haldiram’s Leicester Square, the range brings a modern take on India’s dessert heritage to one of London’s busiest dining destinations.
