Mei Mei Goods, the women-built, B Corp-certified Asian condiment brand founded by Renee St John, former Head of Retail at Google, and Michelin-starred chef Elizabeth Haigh, has launched three products into 249 Waitrose stores nationwide from 9 November 2026. The listing marks national retail distribution for the founder-led business in under 12 months.

The brand was brought to market to make bold, premium Asian flavours accessible to everyday cooks, drawing on the heritage of the award-winning Borough Market restaurant Mei Mei.

Its proposition combines culinary expertise and commercial experience to create chef-crafted sauces that simplify Asian cooking without compromising on flavour. Central to the range is the Three-Step Flavour System developed by chef Elizabeth Haigh: Base, Heat and Topper. The system is designed to help home cooks layer flavours and create restaurant-inspired dishes.

The Waitrose launch comprises:

  • Mei Mei Sweet Soy Sauce (210g) — RRP £3.00: a sticky, versatile Southeast Asian soy sauce for marinades, dipping or drizzling.
  • Mei Mei House Chilli Sriracha Sauce (165g) — RRP £3.00: an everyday chilli sauce for eggs, rice, chicken and more.
  • Mei Mei Hot Honey (215g) — RRP £4.00: a sweet-heat topper for chicken, cheese, pizza and beyond; a 2026 Great Taste Award winner.

The sauces are designed to be used individually or layered together. Mei Mei Goods will support the listing with recipe cards and online recipes. All products are made without artificial preservatives, colours or flavourings. The brand cites more thoughtful sourcing, including the use of upcycled avocado oil, and the entire range is packaged in glass.

“This is a huge moment for Mei Mei Goods,” said Renee St John, co-founder and CEO of Mei Mei Goods. “In our first year, we have gone from launching a new brand to securing listings with some of the UK’s best-known retailers. To now be on shelves in 249 Waitrose stores is something our whole team is incredibly proud of.”

Laura Tudor, trading manager at Waitrose, adds: “We are always looking for ways to bring authentic, high-quality restaurant flavours to our food loving customers’ kitchens. The Mei Mei Goods range combines chef-crafted expertise with real versatility, making it effortless for home cooks to elevate everyday meals.”
