Azelis expands distribution agreement with Roquette into Asia Pacific
Azelis has announced an expansion of its partnership with Roquette to distributes the ingredient supplier’s complete food range in Indonesia and its pea ingredients in Vietnam.
Azelis said the partnership builds upon the standing relationship between Azelis and Roquette that started in January 2019 in EMEA.
Laurent Nataf, CEO and president Asia Pacific at Azelis, said Roquette’s ingredients are complementary to the existing food and health portfolio in Indonesia and Vietnam, allowing Azelis to bring a better offer to these local markets.
He said: “Customers will benefit from this, as we can now offer a broader range of food ingredients in combination with technical and sales expertise. This new agreement is also an important acknowledgement of our continuous efforts to be a preferred partner for our renowned food ingredient suppliers, by bringing their product to new territories.”
David Franken, head of distribution management at Roquette for Asia, added: “Letting this partnership grow towards Asia Pacific is a natural next step, which will benefit customers and formulators when developing new more plant-based products for the food and health sector.”
Azelis has 17 food and nutrition application laboratories located around the globe, of which three are located in Asia Pacific (China, India and Indonesia).
