Spain’s La Fageda markets first organic yogurts

La Fageda is entering the organic food market with the launch of what will be its first organic yogurt.

With this launch, the brand says it is fulfilling the double objective of responding to a booming consumer trend and doing so, in addition, in coherence with the sustainability values that underpin the origin of its social project.

For the first time in its more than 30 years producing yogurts and dairy desserts, La Fageda will market three references of organic yogurts, and will do so through a collaboration with the organic food brand Natursoy that will provide the experience of 35 years of leadership in a market segment with high growth potential.

The launch of the new organic varieties (natural, lemon and bifidus) has taken place in the context of the Biocultura Fair that is held until this Sunday in Barcelona.

The new range of organic yogurts will be marketed through Natursoy’s 3,000 stores specialising in the field of nutrition, dietetics and organic products. In addition, the packaging of the new range of organic yogurts will be bilingual.

The organic milk with which the new varieties of La Fageda will be produced is of regional origin and comes entirely from the Cooperative of the Vall d’En Bas, an idyllic natural space located a few kilometres from the facilities of La Fageda.

For Oriol Gol, director of quality and innovation of La Fageda “the entry into the organic production sector responds to the consolidation of a committed consumer profile and very sensitive to values that seek products directly related to sustainability and with very clear parameters of healthy eating”. For the brand it is also “a logical step in the growth of the social project with sustainability as one of its main reasons for being,” he adds.
