PPMA Total Show 2025: Sovereign Labelling Machines to demonstrate turnkey capabilities

At the PPMA Total Show 2025, Sovereign Labelling Machines, a labelling and sleeving expert located in the UK, will be showcasing an end-to-end bottle production line on Stand G10.
This line, which is displayed on the company’s exhibit as a turnkey solution, features a wide range of integrated technologies for effective and efficient labelling. Containers enter a Sovereign Monarch tri-roller/top labeller after moving from a rotating table onto a conveyor. Best-before dates are printed onto the labels using a thermal transfer printer before to application.
Following the Sovereign Monarch labeller’s successful label application, a vision sensor searches for any labels that are missing and routes faulty goods to a reject chute.
A Sovereign Jubilee tamper evident sleever and portable heat tunnel then apply and form shrink sleeves to the neck and lid of the bottle, securing the lid in place and providing enhanced product security.
Fully labelled and secured containers then travel down a second conveyor and return to a further rotary table for collection, ready for packing and shipping.
Sovereign Labelling Machines managing director Thomas Glendinning noted that by linking all of the steps together and presenting them as a turnkey solution, the company is demonstrating the full breadth of its capabilities.
The Sovereign Monarch tri-roller/top labeller can handle a variety of products. Bespoke systems can be designed to cater for any product specification and dimension. The system can process more than 60 products a minute (when seam registration is not required).
Precision-engineered conveyors and servo-driven mechanisms position, secure, and rotate the product to ensure accurate and consistently precise label application at high speeds.
The Sovereign Jubilee tamper evident sleever applies a heat shrink sleeve to the lid and neck of the product, for security and product protection as the sleeve must be removed to open the container.
A compact design and servo-driven material feed allow products of different dimensions to be processed at high speed. Heat tunnels are supplied and are suitable to the application to ensure optimum shrinkage of the tamper sleeve.
As well as the applicator systems, Sovereign sources the rotary tables and conveyors directly through parent company ENE Group. This relationship enables Sovereign to have total control of each line it builds and ensure each step of the process is perfectly aligned and integrated.
Partnerships with third-party equipment suppliers complement this and provide comprehensive labelling and sleeving solutions, from in-feed to output.
Thomas Glendinning said: “We understand that brands and co-packers alike are under increasing pressure from retailers for efficient labelling that is of the highest quality. Consumers similarly expect labels to be perfectly positioned and securely applied. The system we are demonstrating on Stand G10 at PPMA Total Show 2025 meets all of these requirements and more.
“By integrating anti-theft and product security capabilities, we show brands and co-packers how they can take their labelling to the next level.”
At PPMA Total Show 2025, Sovereign is also showing a desktop labeller suitable for a wide range of round containers.
This system offers a low total cost of ownership (TCO) and has been designed for versatility. This makes it suitable for all types and size of business, regardless of their labelling and sleeving requirements.
The system can accommodate a wide range of products and label/sleeve sizes. Set-up and changeover is simple, making the system straightforward to use. A variable speed servo-driven applicator head and single point nip roller drive assembly ensure the same accuracy in label control and placement as high-volume labelling lines. In addition, a thermal inkjet printer can be integrated for printing codes and other key information.
Glendinning added: “No matter the size and scope of their business, all brands require high-quality labelling. That is why we extend the same level of quality and engineering excellence to all of our customers, from the largest multinational brands to small, independents.
“Our desktop labeller embodies that. It is the perfect solution for start-ups looking for an effective solution, as well as more established businesses wanting to simplify and automate their labelling for smaller batch and short runs, but with the same level of precision.”
