Drinktec 2025: Amcor brings caps, closures and reusable cups

At Drinktec 2025, Amcor will display its extensive selection of closures, caps, and reusable cups for the beverage sector on Stand 250, Hall C6.
Packaging innovations perfect for water, juices, soft drinks, and dairy products will be on display at the Amcor exhibit. Highlights will include a variety of hot and cold cups that are appropriate for refillable beverage systems, Amcor’s newest flat cap and sports closures, and caps for glass and PET bottles that can be returned.
In keeping with Drinktec’s own emphasis on resource management and circularity, a special emphasis will be on solutions that help businesses fulfil their sustainability pledges. These include designs that are lighter, more recyclable, and customised for the growing demand for returnable and reusable products.
“Good packaging not only does its job protecting the product, but also helps a brand stand out,” said Sarah de la Mare, product line director, closures for Amcor. “At Drinktec, we’ll show how more sustainable materials and smart design can work together to create packaging that appeals to consumers while meeting regulatory challenges.”
Amcor’s tethered closures offer a circular packaging solution that meets current environmental legislation and consumer expectations. Engineered for cold fill and aseptic applications, including still water and functional drinks, the closures feature a tamper-evident band that stays attached once opened. With multiple designs available, tethering minimises litter and promotes recycling in regions equipped with appropriate infrastructure.
Also on display are Amcor’s sports closures, whose flip-top hinge locks the lid away from the face for comfortable, hygienic consumption and easy reclosing.
All closures are fully compliant with EU regulations requiring tethered caps on plastic beverage bottles up to 3 litres in size.
Also on display are samples from Amcor’s range of reusable cups and lids, specifically developed to help foodservice businesses meet growing consumer demand and regulatory requirements for sustainable solutions.
Crafted from polypropylene, the cups are dishwasher safe and have an inside stacking rim and ribs with smooth curves for improved cleaning. This also ensures that they retain their premium quality feel even after they have been used several times. The stackable design means they occupy minimal space.
Despite their durability, the cups are lightweight, while their innovative heat-insulating ribs ensure a secure grip, comfort and stability for both hot and cold drinks, while adding a touch of elegance to make the cups visually appealing.
When they reach the end of life, the mono-material PP cups remain a valuable feedstock and can be recycled in a dedicated recycling stream in countries with the appropriate recycling infrastructure.
“Cups and closures are a critical component of beverage packaging, both for practical performance and enhancing user experience,” said Sarah de la Mare. “The innovations we’re bringing to Drinktec reflect our commitment to combining functionality and sustainability.”
