Alzamora Group, a global leader in carton packaging solutions, held a corporate celebration close to Olot, the city where it was established in 1900, to commemorate its 125th anniversary.

Over 350 people attended the event, which had as its motto “New Era.” Among them were clients, suppliers, international partners, strategic allies, and a significant portion of the staff. The company presented its forward-looking strategy, which is fuelled by innovation, digitisation, and sustainability, along with a tour of its history over the course of two days.

Founded in 1900 as a small family-owned printing workshop, Alzamora Group has evolved into an international leader in innovative and sustainable carton packaging, with a presence in more than 20 countries and strong recognition across the European market.

The group is made up of:

  • Alzamora Packaging, headquarters in Olot (Spain).
  • Novotipo Packaging, based in Lisbon (Portugal), incorporated in 2017.
  • Offset Print & Packaging, based in Kent (United Kingdom), acquired in 2024.

Alzamora Group develops carton packaging for a variety of sectors including the food and beverage sectors. The company holds leading international certifications in sustainability and quality, such as PEFC, FSC, BRCGS and ISO 9001. To date, it has received nine WorldStar Packaging Awards and 12 Pro Carton Awards, consolidating its leadership in the global packaging sector.

The anniversary was held in a natural setting surrounded by mountains, highlighting the company’s deep connection with sustainability and respect for the environment. Guests were able to enjoy a historical exhibition showcasing Alzamora’s journey in packaging, from its early beginnings to the latest innovations in design and production.

The event also highlighted the company’s vision for the future, shaped by process automation, energy efficiency, international expansion, and the incorporation of the fourth family generation: Patricia Berga (regional sales manager), Ferran Berga (UK managing director) and Agnes Berga (marketing manager).

The evening concluded with a corporate dinner featuring speeches from co-CEOs Anna Alzamora and Josep M. Berga, who underlined the values that have guided the company for over a century: commitment, excellence and constant innovation.

“Today we are not only celebrating 125 years of history, but 125 years of dreams, shared effort and mutual trust,” said Anna Alzamora. “Our journey began in a small printing workshop in Olot, and today we are an international group. This achievement has been made possible thanks to the loyalty of our clients, the collaboration of our partners and, above all, the talent of our team.”

For his part, Josep M. Berga looked to the future: “We are entering a New Era, where tradition and innovation will go hand in hand. We want to continue progressing together with our clients and partners, building sustainable and competitive solutions that respond to the challenges of a constantly changing world.”

The second day was dedicated entirely to the company’s employees and former staff. This festive gathering brought together several generations in a warm and celebratory atmosphere. It was an opportunity to share anecdotes, memories and laughter, strengthening the team spirit that defines Alzamora Group. The management also reaffirmed its commitment to talent, professional development and continuous training – strategic pillars for growth and motivation in facing the challenges of the future.

Coinciding with the start of this New Era, the group has announced a strategic investment plan in cutting-edge technology throughout 2025. This commitment will strengthen production capacity, enhance energy efficiency and enable the launch of new, more sustainable, innovative and competitive carton packaging solutions.

With more than a century of history and a New Era marked by internationalisation, automation and sustainability, Alzamora Group reaffirms its position as one of Europe’s most influential carton packaging manufacturers, blending tradition and innovation as it moves into the future.
