Charlie Bigham’s, the premium ready meal brand, has unveiled its most ambitious and indulgent collection to date: the Brasserie range.

Exclusively launched in selected Waitrose stores, the new line is set to capitalise on the continued trend for high-end home dining, aiming to deliver a genuine “dining out, in” experience.

The Brasserie collection has been meticulously crafted to capture the essence of a fine-dining restaurant, offering consumers elevated dishes designed for a special evening at home. This move taps directly into a growing market, underscored by recent brand research revealing that a significant 86% of couples agree that food is the most crucial element of a romantic evening, with nearly half (48%) preferring to stay in rather than go out.

“Showstopping food doesn’t always have to mean going out,” commented founder Charlie Bigham. “With the Brasserie range, you can have that same restaurant-quality experience at home – the kind of treat-worthy food you’ll want to take your time over and really enjoy together.”

The new range features a selection of classic and contemporary restaurant-inspired meals, all hand-made in small batches in the brand’s London kitchen. The launch menu includes:

  • Beef Wellington (RRP £29.95)
  • Salmon Wellington (RRP £19.95)
  • Venison Bourguignon (RRP £16.95)
  • Coq au Vin (RRP £16.95)
  • Duck Confit & Pommes Anna (RRP £16.95)

The brand’s long-standing relationship with Waitrose is cemented through this exclusive launch.

Miriam Tellis, head of trading, meal solutions & bakery at Waitrose, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership: “Almost 30 years ago, Waitrose was the first supermarket to stock Charlie Bigham’s meals. Since then, they have become firm favourites with our customers, and we’re incredibly excited to exclusively launch the new Charlie Bigham’s ‘Brasserie’ range in selected Waitrose shops and online from today.”

She added that the premium range, made from high-quality ingredients, is expected to provide “a special dining experience in the comfort of your own home,” aligning with Waitrose’s commitment to offering top-tier meal solutions to its customer base.

The Charlie Bigham’s Brasserie range is available now in selected Waitrose stores and online. This launch signals a significant step in the premium ready meal category, setting a new benchmark for restaurant-quality convenience.
