Tesco NI unveils indulgent new dairy range for Christmas

Tesco Northern Ireland customers are in for a very Merry Cheesemas. Hitting shelves this week, the exclusive new dairy selection features 40 cheeses, cheese bakes, cheeseboards and flavoured creams, perfect for Christmas hosting or cosy nights in.

Back by popular demand, customers will once again find classic seasonal flavours such as cranberry, apricot, truffle and Sauvignon Blanc. The 2025 range also taps into emerging foodie trends, introducing unexpected pairings including hot maple, acacia honey, ale, sticky toffee and salted caramel.

Cheese lovers looking for a kick will also discover an expanded range of spicy cheeses.

Tesco NI has also expanded its line of festive cheese bakes, a popular choice for Christmas starters or indulgent winter lunches. This year’s gooey, flavour-packed options include Vintage Cheddar & Mozzarella, Cheddar & Sauvignon Blanc, Smoked Cheddar and Rosemary & Thyme Cheddar.

In a first for the retailer, the Christmas selection will feature locally produced favourites, including a Baking Cooleeney Camembert in Ceramic Dish from Horgans.

With more than 50 cheeses on shelves this season, Tesco NI is making entertaining easier than ever with readymade cheeseboards. This year’s curated boards showcase a Horgans 1921 Reserve Irish Cheddar Gift Box (complete with relish, crackers and Reserve Cheddar), and a Ballymaloe Irish Cheese Selection, with blue cheese, crackers and the iconic Ballymaloe relish.

No festive feast is complete without Christmas pudding and cream, and Tesco NI’s seasonal dairy range delivers with luxurious extra-thick and pouring brandy creams, plus the returning customer favourite: Baileys Extra Thick Cream.

“Demand for cheese at this time of the year had a considerable growth from 2023 to 2024, and that trend is forecasted to continue this year,” commented David Thompson, buying manager – dairy & front of store. “Our new range brings together traditional favourites and bold new flavours, as well as fantastic local products we’re proud to support. There truly is something for every taste and every Christmas table.”

The new dairy range is available now at all Tesco superstores and Extra stores in Northern Ireland.
