Bavaria has launched a commemorative series of limited‑edition cans celebrating PSV Eindhoven’s 27th Dutch Eredivisie title, using Canpack’s Multiprint technology to produce 24 unique designs within a single production batch.

The collaboration shows how packaging innovation is evolving into a fan engagement platform capable of delivering personalised, emotionally resonant experiences at scale.

Tapping into pride and fan culture

Bavaria and PSV Eindhoven share a 25‑year partnership rooted in football heritage, regional identity and community connection. Following PSV’s third consecutive league win in the 2025/26 season, Bavaria worked closely with the club to create a celebratory series honouring each member of the 23‑man squad, plus the symbolic 12th Man representing the club’s loyal supporters.

The initiative builds on the success of Bavaria’s 2013 centenary cans, reinforcing packaging’s role as a medium for shared identity, storytelling and collective celebration.

Delivering customisation at scale

At the heart of the project is Canpack’s Multiprint technology, which enables up to 24 individual designs in a single production run. This capability provides creative flexibility — allowing each can to carry its own narrative; operational simplicity — maintaining efficiency and consistency across the batch; plus scalable personalisation — delivering variety without production complexity.

By merging industrial‑scale manufacturing with digital‑style customisation, Multiprint transforms packaging into a dynamic engagement tool that can adapt to cultural moments, fandom and brand storytelling.

Strengthening connection through storytelling

Football fandom is emotional, and the Bavaria x PSV series uses design to amplify that connection. Each can features visual cues celebrating players, supporters and the club’s achievement, creating a collectible set that fans can keep, share and display.

The result is packaging that goes beyond aesthetics — becoming a storytelling device that deepens the bond between brand, club and consumer.

Turning partnership into fan experiences

The collaboration demonstrates how long‑standing partnerships can be translated into meaningful consumer experiences when supported by the right technology.

“Campaigns like Bavaria x PSV highlight a shift in how brands can use packaging – not just as a medium, but as a scalable platform for creating fan experiences,” said Arjen van Zurk, key account manager at Canpack. “Multiprint enables brands to deliver variety, collectability and personal relevance at scale.”

“For more than two decades, Bavaria has been a proud partner of PSV,” added Dennis van de Sande, Sr brand marketeer Pils Benelux at Royal Swinkels. “These unique cans celebrate PSV’s outstanding achievements, both on and off the pitch.”

Blueprint for future fan‑driven packaging

The Bavaria x PSV project shows how brands can harness cultural moments, club loyalty and advanced print technology to create packaging that resonates far beyond the shelf. As consumer expectations shift toward personalised, meaningful experiences, Multiprint offers a scalable pathway for brands looking to elevate engagement and deepen emotional connection.
