Kerry Group has released its Q3 Interim Management Statement for 2026, posting robust financial and operational progress.

Driven by strong customer innovation and renovation activity, the group delivered year-to-date volume growth of 3.6%, with third-quarter volume growth stepping up to 4.1% — comfortably outperforming wider end market growth rates.

Pricing for the first nine months stood at -0.6% reflecting overall input cost deflation, though pricing turned positive in Q3 at +0.2% as deflation in the first half gave way to inflation. Meanwhile, Group EBITDA margin expanded by 50 basis points, primarily propelled by the Accelerate 2.0 programme alongside operating leverage, product mix optimisation, and net pricing benefits.

Regional breakdown

  • APMEA region: felivered exceptional volume growth of 5.2% (Q3: +5.7%), spearheaded by strong performances in the Middle East and Africa, good growth in South Asia Pacific, and progress in China. Growth was led by retail alongside strong foodservice execution across dairy, meat, snacks, and bakery EUMs.
  • Americas region: achieved strong volume growth of 4.0% (Q3: +4.6%), driven by standout performances in North America and LATAM (led by Mexico). Snacks, meat, and beverages led the charge through savory taste innovations, Tastesense salt and sugar reduction technologies, and protein-masking solutions.
  • Europe region: registered volume growth of 0.7% (Q3: +1.3%), reflecting ongoing sequential improvement across retail and foodservice channels. Growth was anchored by beverage, snacks, and dairy end use markets, supported by low/no-alcohol solutions and integrated savoury taste technologies.

Executive perspective

”We are pleased to report a strong performance in the period, reflecting a further step-up in volume growth across all three regions in the third quarter, combined with continued strong margin expansion,” said Edmond Scanlon, chief executive officer.

”While macro and geopolitical uncertainty continue to impact market conditions, our strong end market outperformance highlights the strength and relevance of our strategic positioning across our markets, channels and customer base. Our inbuilt business resiliency positions us well through this period, and we remain strongly positioned for volume growth and margin expansion, underpinned by a good innovation and renovation pipeline.”

Kerry’s Q3 update underscores the power of pairing advanced taste and biotechnology solutions with disciplined operational restructuring. While many food and ingredient players grapple with macroeconomic volatility, Kerry’s Accelerate 2.0 programme — coupled with targeted investments in savoury taste, sugar reduction, and digital excellence — demonstrates how proactive footprint optimisation directly fuels margin expansion. Outperforming end markets across all three regions proves that consumer-aligned innovation in health, wellness, and convenience remains insulated from broader retail headwinds.
