Cold press technology

Dutch companies JFPT/foodlife and Cool Wave Processing have joined forces to develop a new cold press technology – The Cold Press No. 1.

Built mainly from stainless steel, it has round pipes instead of pipes with straight angles and all the plastics are blue instead of white, which is said to make it the first cold press to comply fully with the latest European legislation for hygiene guidelines (EHEDG).

Current presses demand high maintenance and are difficult to clean; these two aspects have been taken into account in the design of the new press.

The first series of The Cold Press No. 1, with a capacity of 100L per hour, is available now. Cold presses with larger capacities will be available later this year.
