Mane Kancor has been recognised for its dual commitment to ethical sourcing and product innovation, taking home three prestigious awards at Fi India 2025 and IFEAT 2025.

The leading global provider of natural ingredient solutions said it win highlights its successful efforts to transform the sourcing of raw materials while simultaneously developing cutting-edge flavour components for the global food industry.

At Fi India 2025, Mane Kancor secured the Excellence in Sustainable Practices Award for its extensive Mint Sustainability Initiatives. These programmes focus on empowering over 6,000 mint farmers across 550 villages in India’s Uttar Pradesh region.

A central factor in this recognition is the adoption of Early Mint Technology (EMT), developed in partnership with the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP). EMT delivers environmental savings:

  • Water reduction: cuts irrigation needs by nearly 30%.
  • Emissions reduction: lowers greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 37% by reducing diesel pump usage.
  • Farmer benefit: increases both crop productivity and farmer incomes.

Beyond the farm, Mane Kancor ensures a fair and transparent supply chain. Its Traceability Purchase Record System (TPRS) geo-tags farms and guarantees minimum support prices that are 30–40% above market rates. Additionally, upgraded local distillation units improve mint oil yield by 15% and cut water usage by approximately 50%, boosting local entrepreneurial success.

These wide-ranging sustainable efforts also garnered international recognition at IFEAT 2025, where Mane Kancor received the Second Prize in the Large Companies Category of the Sustainability Awards.

Mane Kancor’s recognition extended to its product innovation at Fi India 2025. Its new Sichuan Pepper Oleoresin was selected as one of the top three most innovative products in the New Product Zone.

This ingredient takes the potent flavour of Sichuan Pepper — known for its citrusy aroma and characteristic numbing sensation — and converts it into a concentrated oleoresin using advanced extraction technology. This ensures consistent flavour and potency, giving food manufacturers a reliable ingredient to deliver bold, authentic taste in seasoning blends, sauces, and marinades.

Dr Geemon Korah, CEO & executive director of Mane Kancor, stated: “These awards reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and innovation. By empowering farmers at the grassroots and creating breakthrough natural ingredients for global markets, Mane Kancor continues to align science, nature, and responsibility.”
