After a decade-long hiatus, Reiser UK is set to return to the Farm Shop & Deli Show at the NEC Birmingham from 13-15 April.

Occupying Stand AA100 in Hall 3A, the processing and packaging specialist is refocusing its expertise on the independent sector, offering scalable technology designed to help artisan businesses transition from small-batch craft to commercial efficiency.

The move marks Reiser’s first appearance at the event since 2015 and signals a strategic commitment to regional manufacturers and farm shops. While the company is a mainstay at large-scale industrial exhibitions like Foodex, this return to the NEC is specifically tailored to the challenges of the specialist food market, such as labour shortages, product consistency, and the need to extend shelf life without losing the handmade appeal.

Scalable solutions for craft production

On its 40m² stand, Reiser UK will deploy a multidisciplinary team of specialists across meat processing, bakery, and packaging. The goal is to provide practical, hands-on guidance for businesses at a critical growth stage — those looking to automate repetitive tasks or increase output while maintaining the artisanal quality their customers expect.

The stand will feature dedicated zones with working equipment demonstrations, allowing visitors to visualise how modern technology can be introduced incrementally. For craft butchers and premium meat producers, the focus will be on processing technologies that ensure portion control and quality. In the bakery zone, equipment will be on display that supports the move from manual folding and filling to automated, high-consistency production.

A focus on partnership

“The Farm Shop & Deli Show is an important event for us because it brings together the independent food businesses that are driving innovation across the UK food sector,” said James Couldwell, managing director of Reiser UK. “Many producers are at a key growth stage, where the right equipment can transform productivity. Our team will be on hand to offer practical advice based on real production needs.”

By offering consultations on site, Reiser aims to help smaller producers navigate the complexities of modern food safety and packaging requirements. Whether a business is looking for flexible vacuum packaging solutions for a farm shop counter or high-speed portioning for a regional deli contract, the emphasis remains on a right-sized approach to investment.

Producers interested in exploring these scalable solutions are encouraged to meet the technical team at the NEC to discuss how to future-proof their operations as the demand for high-quality, locally sourced British food continues to rise.
