Challenger ingredient brand Qura Creatine has announced its official launch at Vitafoods Europe, promising to break a long-standing near-monopoly in the premium creatine monohydrate sector.

Positioning itself as a high-purity, highly soluble alternative, the brand aims to provide a long overdue choice for formulators.

As the global creatine market diversifies beyond traditional sports performance into cognitive health, longevity, and women’s wellness, Qura Creatine is pitching itself as the next generation solution for modern delivery systems like stick packs, functional beverages, and gummies.

For years, the B2B market for high-purity creatine monohydrate backed by comprehensive documentation has been concentrated in the hands of one major player. This concentration has often left brands vulnerable to supply shortages and limited innovation in material performance.

“With demand for high-quality creatine rocketing and consumers crying out for innovative new products, it’s unsustainable for the market to be a near-monopoly,” said Michael Hekking, co-founder of Qura Creatine. “Qura Creatine will introduce long-overdue choice in a segment that has been static for too long.”

While purity remains a baseline requirement, Qura Creatine is distinguishing itself through functional utility. The brand’s value proposition is built on three core pillars:

  1. Ultra-purity: offering a market-leading purity of >99.95%, supported by independent verification.
  2. Superior solubility: specially engineered for rapid dispersion, the ingredient eliminates the grit and bitter aftertaste often associated with traditional monohydrates, making it ideal for the growing sachet and beverage categories.
  3. Transparency & compliance: each batch is fully traceable and independently tested in both the EU and USA to provide anti-doping assurance and meet global regulatory standards.

To support its claims of evolutionary performance, the brand has released internal testing data demonstrating faster dispersion rates compared to current market leaders. This improved solubility, combined with a specific mesh size, is designed to streamline manufacturing for tablets, capsules, and powder-based formats.

“In today’s market… purity alone is not enough,” Hekking added. “The future of the category has to be about innovation and demonstrable utility: we’re focusing on how creatine actually performs.”

Qura Creatine is produced in FSSC 22000‑ and IFS-certified facilities and holds vegan, kosher, and halal certifications.

Industry professionals can view the technology firsthand at Vitafoods Europe (5–7 May 2026, Barcelona). The brand will be exhibiting in Hall 6, Stand #6D84L, and will also be featured in the event’s New Ingredients Zone.
