Queen’s Roger Taylor launches luxury Rosé

A member of the legendary rock band Queen has officially expanded the legacy into the beverage world with the launch of Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé.
This new premium wine, conceived and led by iconic drummer Roger Taylor, represents a creative bridge between the heritage of French winemaking and the uncompromising standards of one of Britain’s most famous musical exports.
The project was born from Taylor’s desire to create a product defined by integrity rather than simple celebrity branding.
Working in close collaboration with Sony Music, Watermill Wines, and the prestigious Les Caves du Commandeur, Taylor sought to develop a wine that reflects his personal passion for quality and expression.
He noted that the starting point for Queen Côtes de Provence Rosé was “doing things properly,” aiming for a reliable and enjoyable drink that captures a sense of joy and brings people together.
The wine is a “Cuvée Rock ‘n’ Roll 2025” blend, consisting of 70% Grenache and 30% Cinsault. Produced in the heart of Provence at Montfort-sur-Argens, the wine benefits from the region’s limestone-clay soils and unique climate. The producer, Les Caves du Commandeur, has signalled its long-term confidence in the brand by becoming a direct investor in the project.
Designed to be both approachable and structured, the wine is vegetarian and vegan-friendly, featuring aromas of wild strawberry and ripe red berries. It is now available nationwide at Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, and online, priced at £18 per bottle.
