tiqi — a new seedless grape brand with a flavour unlike anything else in the fresh produce aisle — has landed exclusively in Marks & Spencer stores nationwide this summer, marking one of the most distinctive category introductions in years.

New proposition

For decades, the table‑grape category has seen little disruption. tiqi aims to change that. Packed in a grab‑and‑go pot, the brand introduces a category‑defining on‑the‑go format designed for convenience, freshness and standout shelf presence. The expressive, energetic branding mirrors the essence of tiqi itself — bold, unconventional and deliberately different from traditional grape packaging.

But the real point of difference is the flavour. tiqi grapes deliver a layered, surprising taste profile that varies from person to person. Some taste tropical notes, others detect a sherbet‑like zing; all agree the grapes are sweet, juicy and crunchy, offering a one‑of‑a‑kind eating experience that sets them apart from standard varieties.

The grapes trace their origins to Bakersfield, California, developed through the Grapa Global Breeding Programme, where generations of expertise and ideal growing conditions have produced this unusual, expressive variety.

“The only way to get it is by trying it”

Ghenadie Coroi, buyer at Marks & Spencer, said: “As a grape fan, I am super excited to be part of this amazing project, bringing to life something new, disruptive and more importantly, an amazing product: tiqi. It’s hard to express the flavour and we had many interesting debates on flavour profile while eventually agreed that the only way to get it is by trying it!

The proof is in the pot

Ahead of launch, tiqi underwent extensive live sampling with UK shoppers — and the results were emphatic:

  • 100% of sampled consumers said they liked the product
  • 63 Net Promoter Score (50+ considered strong)
  • 84% said they would purchase tiqi
  • “Crunchy” was the most‑used descriptor, cited by 37% of tasters

These results underline tiqi’s potential to inject new energy into the grape category, attracting both traditional produce shoppers and consumers seeking novel flavour experiences.

Made for every moment

Packed in a convenient grab‑and‑go pot, tiqi is designed for spontaneous snacking — on the move, during a slow afternoon, or gone before you realise what’s happening. Every bunch is selected for flavour, freshness and texture, ensuring each pot delivers the signature sweetness, crunch and layered flavour.
