Hard Rock Cocktails has secured a major distribution milestone in its rapid UK expansion, partnering with industry heavyweight AF Blakemore to drive the brand into the heart of the convenience and foodservice channels.

The partnership leverages AF Blakemore’s 100-year heritage and its sophisticated multi-temperature delivery network to bring the iconic music-inspired brand to a significantly wider retail audience.

The move is designed to capitalise on the surging demand for bar-quality ready-to-drink (RTD) options in the on-the-go and at-home social sectors. Inspired by the legendary serves at Hard Rock Cafes worldwide, the initial rollout via AF Blakemore will include high-volume favourites: Passion Fruit Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri, and Classic Mojito, with Espresso Martini and Piña Colada scheduled to follow.

The brand’s strategy focuses on premiumisation, offering 5% ABV serves that mirror the “energy, spirit, and attitude” of the Hard Rock lifestyle in a convenient 250ml format.

For AF Blakemore customers — which include thousands of independent operators and SPAR stores — the partnership offers unique logistical advantages. AF Blakemore’s multi-temperature delivery capability allows the RTD range to be delivered alongside chilled, frozen, and ambient products in a single drop. This efficiency is critical for smaller retailers looking to manage stock levels without increasing the frequency of delivery windows.

“Partnering with AF Blakemore marks an exciting step forward,” said George Markham, national sales manager for Hard Rock Cocktails. “Their century of experience and outstanding distribution capabilities make them the perfect partner to help us grow our footprint within the UK convenience channel. We’re thrilled to see our bold flavours become accessible to their customers nationwide.”

The listing comes at a time when wholesalers are aggressively diversifying their alcohol portfolios to keep pace with the RTD category’s double-digit growth.

Stephanie Hooper, trading controller for wine, spirits & RTDs at AF Blakemore, added: “Hard Rock is an iconic brand with strong appeal and its cocktail range offers something genuinely exciting for our customers. We look forward to working closely together to bring Hard Rock to our customers across the UK.”

The addition of Hard Rock Cocktails to the AF Blakemore catalogue provides retailers with a high-recognition brand that resonates with multiple demographics — from Gen Z consumers seeking vibrant flavours to older fans of the legendary Hard Rock brand.

For the trade, this latest launch reinforces the ongoing shift in the RTD market toward “Lifestyle Brands” — where the global recognition of the name on the can is just as important as the liquid inside.
