Reese’s capitalises on ‘Swalty’ trend

The Reese’s brand is expanding its UK take-home confectionery portfolio this September with two new product launches, directly targeting the ‘swalty’ (sweet-and-salty) and ‘swavory’ flavour trends sweeping the market in 2026.
Tapping into 2026 flavour profiles
Consumer demand for sweet-and-salty flavour combinations continues to surge, prompting Reese’s to reimagine its classic peanut butter profile. By pairing its signature salty-sweet peanut butter and milk chocolate with caramel, the brand is providing a contemporary, multi-textured twist designed to drive incremental category growth across both impulse and sharing occasions.
New lineup additions
- Reese’s Caramel Block (90g, RRP £1.75): Combines signature peanut butter and milk chocolate with a smooth caramel twist, delivering a new format in the growing chocolate blocks category.
- Reese’s White Peanut Butter Cup Trio (59g, RRP £1.25): Expands the brand’s popular trio format into white chocolate, offering consumers a smooth, creamy alternative for everyday on-the-go treating.
Developing the pair
The dual launch is designed to meet ongoing consumer demand for new ways to enjoy the staple Reese’s taste, bridging daily snacking and social sharing moments.
“We’re always looking for new ways to bring excitement to the confectionery category while staying true to the unmistakable flavour combination that consumers know and love from Reese’s,” said Jackson Hitchon, general manager of Asia, EMEA & World Travel Retail at The Hershey Company. “The launch of Reese’s Caramel Block and Reese’s White Peanut Butter Cup Trio does exactly that, offering a new way to enjoy the iconic peanut butter cups in a new format and extending our offering in the blocks category with a caramel twist.”
